He received his general orthopaedic training in Singapore and then trained in his subspecialties at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, the highest-volume orthopaedic centre in the UK. Dr Ang also received fellowship training in the USA having been awarded the American Orthopaedic Association-ASEAN Traveling Fellowship to do so. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and an associate Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons. Dr Ang’s expertise includes resection of large complex tumours with the goal of limb preservation. For bony tumours, Dr Ang can resect and reconstruct the limb using a variety of methods such as allografts, fibular transfer and implants. He has vast experience in treating hip and knee problems and helping patients recover their function quickly.
