Dr Char Li Shing graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He has a wide spectrum of training in general surgery, medicine , obstetrics & gynaecology, haematology and cardiology.
Dr Char completed the Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists examination (Part 1) in 1996. During his time at the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department of the Singapore General Hospital, he managed women with menopausal problems and also patients with skin problems related to aging and menopause.
Dr Char’s interest in skin problems and treatment began during his General Practice. Then, he met many patients with skin problems who found conventional medicine and topical creams ineffective. At the same time, his patients with menopausal problems were also faced with skin problems. A combination of challenges and interactions with patients sparked Dr Char’s search for better treatment options for various skin conditions.
He now uses Lasers and Intense Pulse Light to treat skin conditions like pigmentary disorders, blemishes and acne.
Dr Char is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Occasionally, he goes on medical missions overseas.
