Dr Edmond Phua graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following his graduation, he has held several medical and surgical positions in various public hospitals and underwent several years of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care training before joining the private sector.
While practicing as a family physician in the private sector, he treated several patients with skin problems. It is then that he discovered his passion and interest in medical aesthetics after witnessing how his patients feel more confident as their skin condition improved. He then went on to pursue accreditation for various aesthetic procedures such as fractional laser, skin rejuvenation and pigmentation laser, chemical peel, botox and filler injection by the Singapore Medical Council.
Dr Phua is well-liked by his colleagues, peers and patients. He believes that the best cosmetic outcome should be achieved through a holistic approach using a combination of aesthetic procedures customized for each individual and a well-balanced diet.
Outside of work, Dr Phua spends his time with his family and his two dogs. He enjoys reading and globetrotting as well as sussing out Singapore’s best hidden food gems.
