Graduating from the medical faculty of National University of Singapore in 1992, Dr. Mendis underwent rigorous surgical training at Singapore General and National University Hospital, gaining extensive work experience in Accident & Emergency, Orthopedic Surgery, and General Surgery. In 1996 he obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He subsequently worked under Professor Walter Tan in Plastic Surgery at National University Hospital for a period of time.
He is a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons (AACS). Dr. Mendis then trained under several international surgeons including Professor Roger Amar in Marbella, Spain, Professor Pierre Fournier in Paris, as well as visiting Brazil to meet with Professor Ivo Pitanguay, a world-renowned plastic surgeon.
Dedicated to his field, Dr. Mendis travels globally to attend congresses and forums to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in non-surgical procedures. In addition, he has presented papers at a number of international Congresses such as the World Congress of Cosmetic Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Mendis is dedicated to quality, service and image enhancement with a focus on improving his clients overall quality of life. This means that, in addition to aesthetic treatments, Dr. Mendis is dedicated to the well-being. His approach is to view his patient as a whole help each individual address diet, exercise, body and skincare, and ways to de-stress their life.
Dr. Mendis extensive client list is comprised of Singaporeans, expatriates, and international patients from around the world. His friendly, open approach quickly puts his patients at ease, whatever their cultural background.
