Dr. Ho Su Chin graduated from the National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and went on to complete her internal medicine training at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She obtained both her Masters of Medicine in Internal Medicine and membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in the year 1995. She continued her advanced spe-cialty training in the Department of Endocrinology, SGH and graduated as a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Chapter of Endocrinology).

Dr. Ho has a keen interest in the subspecialty of Thyroidology. She received her HMDP award to train in molecular endocrinology at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. She was one of the pioneering mem-bers of SingHealth Clinician Scientists to embark on the dual tracks of clinical care and medical research. During her research career, Dr. Ho successfully secured grants from funding agencies such as the National Medical Research Council and the Biomedical Research Council. The main focus of her interest centered on thyroid autoimmunity and she has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals on this. In addition, she has also conducted and published clinical studies dealing with weight loss and lipid issues.

Dr. Ho has extensive clinical experience treating all aspects of thyroid illnesses ranging from autoimmune thyroid disease to thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy, nodular thyroid disease and thyroid cancer. She is an active member of the SGH Thyroid Group, a multidisciplinary association of physicians with an interest in the care of patients with thyroid cancer. In addition, Dr. Ho also manages all other aspects of endocrinol-ogy such pituitary and adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, calcium disorders, dyslipidemia, obesity and diabe-tes mellitus.

With the insight gained from her research combined with her rich clinical experience, site has helped many patients journey through their illnesses to recovery. She is an advocate of healthy and active lifestyles and firmly believes in the benefits of regular exercise and prudent eating habits. She actively educates all her patients and shares with them tips on lifestyle modification, which she believes is a vital tool to empower patients to improve their overall health.
