Dr Jennifer Teo is a senior consultant histopathologist with more than 15 years’ experience. She provides consultancy services for laboratory quality assurance and control, as well as diagnostic histopathology and neuropathology. She is currently on staff at the KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Singapore, and is a faculty member for the national pathology residency program.
She attended medical school at the National University of Singapore, and trained in pathology at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was a research associate and undertook further subspecialty training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Institute of Neurology & Neurosurgery, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York.
On returning to Singapore, she established the Neuropathology Laboratory at the National Neuroscience Institute. Her other professional experience includes practice at major public hospitals and private sector laboratories in Singapore, and as Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and the Academy of Medicine in Singapore, and is or has been a member of various professional pathology societies in Singapore, Hong Kong and internationally. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in her field.
