With a Master of Science in Palliative Medicine from the University of Wales, United Kingdom, and additional training in acupuncture and family medicine, Dr. Khin Khin Win brings extensive expertise to the comprehensive cancer care programs at the Singapore Oncology Consultant group.
Before joining Singapore Oncology Consultants, Dr. Win was a Palliative doctor with the West Medical Group.
She also previously served as Medical Administrator, Family and Palliative Doctor for the Singapore Cancer Society. In that capacity, her responsibilities were wide-ranging, including hospice care services; clinical, screening and rehabilitation services; teaching; counseling patients and their families; and supervising and coordinating medical staff. She also worked with both Sing Health and National Health Care Group, Health Promotion Board and Ministry of Health in Singapore, as well as the American Cancer Society, Queensland Cancer Fund, and the International Union Against Cancer. Dr. Win also spent more than six months as Medical Officer at Mt Olivet Hospital, Brisbane, Australia as a palliative doctor. She was also a clinical Tutor, and Organizing Committee Member for postgraduate and undergraduate teaching courses for Singapore Hospice Council and National University of Singapore.
Dr. Win is a frequent presenter on oncology and palliative care at international medical conferences. In addition, throughout her medical career, she has offered her volunteer services at medical clinics, community centers, and health organizations. Dr. Khin Khin Win is the recipient of several professional service awards, including the 2006 Healthcare Humanity Award by Singapore President Nathan.
