Dr Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degree. Subsequently, she achieved her Graduate Diploma (FP) Dermatology from the National University of Singapore in 2003.
Having worked in various hospital departments in her early years including Surgery, Orthopaedics, Emergency, Internal medicine and Paediatric Emergency, her rich experiences have cultivated her strong passion for family practice and medical aesthetics today. Dr Lim derives strength and purpose from practicing medical aesthetics because of the sense of fulfillment she gets when she sees her patients’ appearance and confidence improve two fold. She believes in helping patients feel lovely about themselves once again, and cares for them with this firmly in mind.
In the course of her work, Dr Lim has encountered many ladies and men who were battling skin problems like acne, scarring, pigmentation and aging skin. Through her personal experiences, Dr Lim witnessed how these problems affected their self-confidence, and how it was common for those around her to use thick make-up to camouflage their flaws. Seeing more severe cases, such as the shattered confidence of older women who were divorced and wished to look younger and fresher, Dr Lim was driven to help them, and saw the value and benefit of medical aesthetics.
Having suffered from teenage acne herself and eventually bearing acne scars, she is especially invested in acne and acne-scars treatments and greatly empathizes with her patients. Because of this, Dr Lim is a dedicated and passionate doctor who prioritizes her patients’ well-being and opinions, and is always willing to lend a listening ear to them. She believes in harnessing non-invasive and safe procedures to rejuvenate her patients.
Dr Lim is also trained to handle pigmentation, non-surgical rejuvenation of the face, and weight management. Additionally, Dr Lim has further certificates of competence in Botox, Fillers, IPL, Laser and chemical peels.
Dr Lim and Dr Grace are also the founders of an award-winning skincare line. This award-winning skincare line was the successful result of Dr Lim’s pursuit for light-textured skincare that would be effective despite Singapore’s humid climate and help control oil, refine her enlarged pores, promote skin smoothness and prevent formation of clogged pores.
Dr Lim is happily married with a teenage son and a lively younger son. She enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, art and travelling.
