Dr Tsu Boon Hsiung obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2006. Following his graduation, he has served in various public hospitals and specialist centres in Singapore, including a stint at the National Skin Centre, where his passion for aesthetic dermatology was ignited. He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, from which he completed his Certificate and Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Tsu also has certificates of competence in medical laser treatments, intense pulse light, chemical peels, botox and filler procedures; which are recognized by the Singapore Medical Council’s Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee. On top of these, Dr Tsu also holds a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine, which he obtained in 2013.
Dr Tsu’s interest in aesthetic medicine stems from his belief that ‘beauty builds confidence’. He strongly believes that a person’s confidence and self esteem can be built and enhanced by improving one’s looks. By looking younger and more radiant, a person can truly shine from within, bringing out and highlighting his or her personality and character. In aesthetic medicine, Dr Tsu has a keen interest in the various techniques of skin rejuvenation. He is also a strong advocate for skin conditioning and maintenance therapies. Dr Tsu also has experience in treating common dermatological conditions such as acne, rosacea and pigmentation.
Dr Tsu has a pleasant personality and is known amongst his colleagues to be affable and approachable. He is professional and caring, not just towards his patients, but also towards his co-workers. Dr Tsu has a strong work ethic and is known to be a hard worker. During his years of working as a doctor, he has received many compliments, both from his patients and also fellow colleagues. He has previously received an award as the best medical officer in a department he worked for, for his outstanding performance at work. To his patients, Dr Tsu is not just a doctor, but also a friend and a confidant.
Beyond work, Dr Tsu enjoys sports and can be seen working out regularly in the gym. He jogs regularly, and has previously completed the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon in 2008. Dr Tsu also does volunteer work regularly and is a Senior Counsellor with Action for AIDS, providing counselling, education, testing and support in HIV-related matters. Dr Tsu loves travelling and he looks forward to an enriching experience wherever he goes. During his free time, he enjoys scouting out new eateries and cafes to hang out and relax with his family and friends, over a meal or a cup of coffee.
