Dr. Valerie Tay Su-Lin graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS), and was the recipient of the ENT bookprize – an award for the best student of the year in Otolaryngology. She obtained her Otorhinolaryngology specialist accreditation from Singapore and was fully accredited as an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Medical Council. She is also a member of the Chapter of Otorhinolarygologists.
With more than 10 years of medical experience, Dr. Tay is a well-trained ENT doctor that specialises in treating breathing problems, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, sleep disorder, thyroid and salivary gland diseases, allergy and airway problems and endoscopic sinus surgery. She works with a strong team of audiologists, vestibular and speech therapists along with other medical specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. She is passionately involved in treating ENT conditions for both adults and children.
Dr Valerie Tay is a presently consultant with the Otolaryngology department in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where she leads the Facial Plastic Surgery service. Having a keen interest in teaching, she served as a clinical senior lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and was a Core Faculty member of the ENT (ACGME-I) residency programme.
She is one of the only doctors in Singapore who is trained to perform scarless surgical rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty using graft harvested from the nasal septum, ear cartilage or rib cartilage.
