Jurong Medical Centre (JMC) was officially opened in 2006 in a pilot project by the Ministry of Health to bring specialist healthcare services to the community. It offers a convenient alternative for patients who require specialist care or minor surgery, so that they no longer need to travel to a hospital.
A one-stop medical care centre for the west, JMC offers a range of services including day surgery, diagnostic and outpatient specialist services, chronic disease management, health screening and health promotion programmes. In addition, it offers a range of Allied Health services to cater to the diverse and complex needs of patients. It also provides supplementary diagnostic services, support for chronic disease management, and specialist services to general practitioners in its vicinity.
In time to come, JMC will complement the acute and step-down care services offered by Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital respectively.
