Eliza completed her Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology in Brisbane, Australia. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, in a range of settings, such as multidisciplinary clinics, early intervention centres, schools, hospitals and mental health services. She has experience in both the public and private setting, working with both the local and expatriate population. Eliza’s area of interest is early intervention for children with special needs, this includes developmental delays, autism, genetic conditions, learning difficulties, and attentional problems.
Eliza is passionate about working with children and their families. She strongly believes in a family-centered, evidence-based approach to guide her therapeutic interventions and assessments. She also collaborates with professionals across multiple disciplines and different contexts to understand and support the child’s needs. She firmly believes that with support, every individual has the ability to achieve to the best of their potential.
At Extra·Ordinary People, Eliza provides both psychological assessments and interventions. She also runs group programs across the lifespan. She conducts parenting groups based on attachment theory, using the Circle of Security (COS) parenting program. She also conducts social skills groups for preschool and primary school children. In addition, she conducts programs to build resiliency and coping skills in youths based on the Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP). She is also trained in a range of interventions methods: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Circle of Security Parenting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness. She has worked with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including: anxiety, depression, anger management, bullying, social difficulties, sleep behavioral problems, and behavioral regulation difficulties.
